#1 on Steve Rood's work

I decided to use things to write about because... I thought these images from Rood's work seemed easy enough for me to do. On tht account...

[1.] From the George category, the fourth image. I chose this image because it reminded me of Charlie Chaplin. I found this image had sort of bright-feel to it because it reminded me of Chaplin in his silent films, where almost of is films didn't have any words to describe them as where this image shows nothing but a word in its silent way of having no words to describe this one. I think that this is one so fascinating because it is so funny, even though it is an image of George Washing or something under the lines of that.

[2.] From the Mono category, I chose the 17th image before the 18h animation one because I found this quite interesting. It uses a series of still imagery to make an animation where this guy is riding on his horse to nowhere but the images do tell a story or two. I really like how Rood made this small clip from 12 frames of this one person riding its horse. It is quite funny in some ways, but really interesting.

Thanks :]

  2. Thanks Burda, I like the fact you have responded personally to things you found on Steve's site. But don't forget part of the idea is to use what you learn in class as a stepping stone towards further research. So looking at Steve's site is just the beginning - it should lead you on to researching other artists/photographers/interactive designers... etc...
